Dear PlantAnim’ees
We are back for another year of PlantAnim encounters!
As before, we have already some activities planned for the year, although new proposals from you to promote the interaction among plant researches at UPorto ecosystem are always welcome!
Our 2024 KickOff meeting will take place on the afternoon of November 11 – don’t miss it! This year we propose a casual meeting in GreenUPorto to present our proposals for 2024-2025 and discuss about conservation and invasive species with 2 colleagues from CIBIO. After that, we will go to “Quinta do Corgo” in Macieira da Maia (5 min ride from GreenUPorto/CIBIO – we can provide transport), a local hotspot of plant biodiversity. Besides visiting the place, we will team together to clean some Acacea-infested areas.
For those interested in biodiversity, and taking advantage of the mushroom season, we are also planning a complementary activity at Quinta do Corgo, that will occur on the November 29, to help creating an inventory of mushroom specimens in that area.
