O workshop “Growing greener – Exploring sustainable agricultural approaches”, terá lugar na Fundação Dr. António Cupertino de Miranda entre os dias 29 e 30 de novembro. Esta iniciativa, organizada por vários laboratórios de investigação das Universidades do Porto, Minho e Aveiro, tem como objetivo reunir investigadores e stakeholders comprometidos com o desenvolvimento de soluções verdes que contribuam para uma agricultura mais sustentável.
Ao longo dos dois dias do workshop terão lugar:
· Sessões plenárias e apresentações orais centradas em temas emergentes, como bioestimulantes, biopesticidas e valorização de resíduos orgânicos;
· Discussão ativa sobre a aplicação e produção de soluções sustentáveis no setor agrícola;
· Oportunidade de networking com vários investigadores e profissionais de empresas de biotecnologia e agricultura;
· Comunicações em póster, por parte de estudantes e investigadores, de trabalhos científicos enquadrados nas áreas temáticas. O resumo deve seguir o layout em anexo e ser enviado para plantstress.lab@fc.up.pt até à data limite de 15 de novembro.
O workshop contará com a presença de duas keynote speakers especialistas nesta área, conforme flyer em anexo. O programa científico detalhado será disponibilizado brevemente.
Oevento ocorrerá em formato híbrido, sendo que a participação presencial está limitada a um máximo de 60 participantes, com oferta de almoço no próprio local do evento. The workshop “Growing greener – Exploring sustainable agricultural approaches” will occur on the 29th and 30th of November in a hybrid format. The event will take place in Fundação Dr. António Cupertino de Miranda (Porto, Portugal) and a ZOOM link will be provided for those interested in attending online.
This initiative, organized by several research groups from the Universities of Porto, Minho, and Aveiro, aims to gather researchers and stakeholders, committed to developing green solutions to walk towards more sustainable agricultural practices.
Throughout both days of the workshop you can count on the following:
· Plenary sessions and oral presentations centred around emergent topics, such as biostimulants, biopesticides and residue valorisation;
· Active discussions about the development and application of sustainable tools in the agricultural sector;
· Networking opportunity with several researchers and professionals from biotech and agricultural companies;
· Poster communications, from students and early-stage researchers, intent on showcasing the scientific work being developed in this field. The abstract should follow the attached layout and be sent to plantstress.lab@fc.up.pt by the 15th of November.
Two keynote speakers specialists in these themes are already confirmed at the event. The detailed scientific program will be available soon.
Presential attendance is limited to 60 people with lunch offered in Fundação Dr. António Cupertino de Miranda. Attendance by ZOOM is unlimited and open to anyone interested in attending. Regardless of the type of attendance, registration is free, but mandatory (https://forms.gle/qjHkUVFj8k4xXbSG7).
